Country: MALI Name: Gaoussou Amadou Ouattara Date of birth: 25th Nov 1970 Home address: BP E: 5275 Bamako, Mali, Africa EMail: cao.dialakoroba@yahoo.fr I am a technician of the community development and an administrator of cooperatives since 1992, a promoter(developer) of professional training centres and chaiman of the board of the NGO, Association Malienne Pou le Developpement Rural (AMPDR). I have made a comparison between the standard of living of the populations living in rural areas and those who live in urban zones. This study has prompted me to have the love of the community development and I now have a vocation to help the poor and disadvantaged to improve their living standards and quality of life. Mali is a sahélo-Saharan country situated in western Africa. In my country most people are poor. I mobilize raise funds (collections) for the benefit of the rural populations for the improvement of their living conditions as well as the implementation of a system of follow-up-evaluation of these poverty reduction activities.
